ART MCNEIL: CEO COACH:

'the Corporate Exorcist'
“Books should be about people you know, that you love, and hate…not about people you study up about.”
Ernest Hemingway, Esquire Magazine December 1934
“The content of this blog comes from personal relationships I’ve had over the years with CEOs and senior teams—not from “studying up” about them. Reaching across the decades, Ernest Hemingway encouraged me to make sense of life-threatening challenges that most organizations are (or soon will be) facing, and more importantly, to identify a survival strategy. Experience as a senior executive in both the private and public sectors; “up close and personal” interactions coaching senior teams, participating in thousands of organization change initiatives around the world, and academic discipline gleaned from graduate studies in the applied behavioral sciences, shaped a perspective that has helped me understand the impact of our turbulent times. The track to organizational success in the “shift age” will be radically different from what many well-intentioned leaders are currently travelling. To succeed, major retrofits will be required. Having recently launched an innovative online system to implement inspirational-leadership and process-discipline (designed to be led personally by the CEOs of small to midsize businesses)—I’ve put my money where my mouth is and entered the shift-age. To do this, I had to retrofit myself.”
Regards.
