TRIBRIDGE STAYS AHEAD OF THE CURVE

DANGER: no resting on past laurels
We have evolved into what futurist David Houle calls the “Shift Age”. Traditional ways of thinking, planning, organizing, and performing are literally shifting under our feet. As an executive coach, I meet too many executives who unknowingly, make “tomorrow” decisions from a platform of “yesterday” attitudes and habit patterns.

Astute leaders view our current recession as a symptom of this larger phenomenon. They appreciate that working harder at more of the same, may no longer be their ticket to ride. Relying exclusively on traditional formulas for success is a precursor to failure.
I recently talked with Bob Riddell who heads up the business consulting division of Tribridge: a successful IT services firm (2012 Microsoft Dynamics Worldwide Partner of the Year) headquartered in Tampa, FL. No doubt, they will continue their winning ways, but the Tribridge leadership team has charged Bob with expanding their heritage of selling of IT solutions to include process development and change management consulting.
The business consulting division helps clients assess and revamp their overall method of doing business. Although BCS is a standalone profit center, it will (perhaps more importantly) help the corporation align behind new market realities.
The bottom line:
In the “shift-age” businesses will not prosper by resting on their laurels. Survival depends less on knowledge and experience and more on developing process to find out and take action faster than the competition.
